As the UAE edges closer to summer, temperatures are on the rise, with places near Dubai recording 46.2°C on Thursday, the highest in the country so far this year. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), this intense heat is set to continue through the weekend.

Here's what you can expect over this weekend in Dubai and Abu Dhabi:

  • Friday: Highs of 43°C in Abu Dhabi and 41°C in Dubai are predicted during the day time, while night time lows will be around 27°C in Abu Dhabi and 30°C in Dubai.

  • Saturday: Highs of 43°C in Abu Dhabi and 41°C in Dubai will be seen during the day time, while night time lows are predicted to be around 28°C in Abu Dhabi and 32°C in Dubai.

  • Sunday: Highs of 45°C in Abu Dhabi and 42°C in Dubai during the day, and lows of 30°C in Abu Dhabi and 32°C in Dubai during late hours.

Humidity levels are also expected to remain high during the entire weekend, reaching 50% to 70% throughout the weekend.

The rising temperatures are a clear signal that summer has arrived early, and with that comes the need for extra precautions, particularly for children, the elderly, and those working outdoors.

Whether you're planning a weekend road trip or just stepping out for errands, heat safety is essential. Avoid direct sun during peak hours, stay hydrated, and keep an eye on weather alerts from the NCM.
