Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a new intercity bus service, along with several updated bus routes, which are to be implemented from 2 May.

Starting 2 May, RTA will launch a new intercity bus route, E308, connecting Stadium Bus Station in Dubai with Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. The fare is set at just Dhs 12 for a one-way trip, offering an affordable and reliable new option for many daily travellers between the two emirates. For regular commuters, especially those travelling between Dubai and Sharjah, this new E308 route offers a faster, direct, and budget-friendly option.

Along with this, new broader route adjustments have been announced by RTA, which are designed to align buses more closely with metro stations and key residential and commercial areas, cutting down commute times, reducing congestion and improving comfort.

Key changes, starting from 2 May, will include the following.

  • Route 17 will now end at Baniyas Square Metro Station for easier metro access.

  • Route 24 has a new path within Al Nahda 1, catering better to residential areas.

  • Route 44 will now serve Dubai Festival City, a popular shopping and leisure hub.

  • Route 56 extends to reach DWC Staff Village, supporting airport staff mobility.

  • Routes 66 and 67 now include a stop at Al Ruwayah Farm area.

  • Route 32C service ends at Al Jafiliya Bus Station; passengers going to Al Satwa should use Route F27.

  • Several routes including C26, F27, and X92 now terminate at Max Metro Land Side Bus Stops, offering better metro integration.

  • Route F47 and F54 have been revised to better serve Jebel Ali Industrial Area and JAFZA South labour camp respectively.

  • Route F12 will be re-routed via Kuwait Street, cutting out the section between Al Satwa Roundabout and Al Wasl Park.
