The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) hosted over 100 major events in 2024, marking a 32% increase compared to the previous year, with around two million visitors flocking to exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows right here in the heart of Dubai.

DWTC’s strong 2024 performance also means more exciting international events are coming up throughout this year, bringing global business, innovation and entertainment right to our doorstep.

The surge in large-scale events in 2024 supported more than 85,500 jobs across the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions industry and related sectors, delivering substantial benefits to the local economy. As such, DWTC continues to play a vital role in Dubai’s bigger economic vision for the future.

The major events are only expected to rise this year as DWTC has major large scale events happening this year. This week is no exception, with the Arabian Travel Market 2025, one of the biggest travel and tourism events in the region, currently happening at DWTC. Expect even heavier traffic and busy metro stations, especially during morning and late afternoon hours.

DWTC, with its large scale events, also generated more than Dhs 22.35 billion in economic output, according to a report reviewed by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

In a post on X, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan described DWTC’s achievement as a reflection of Dubai’s leadership and ambition to be a global capital for business and innovation.
