If you’re a parent in Dubai, here’s a piece of news that will warm your heart. The Hope Run, held recently at Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2 in Al Jaddaf, wasn’t just a fun event for families, it was a powerful show of support for children’s health in our community. The Hope Run is a charitable event organised by Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health.
Led by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, The Hope Run brought together more than 1,500 participants, including 300 children, all running distances from 1km to 3km.
Beyond the excitement, the event had a serious purpose, which was to support The Child Fund, a programme by Al Jalila Foundation that provides specialised medical care to children who need it most. Launched in November 2023, The Child Fund helps children with serious health conditions access the latest treatments and world-class care right here in Dubai, ensuring families have support when they need it most. It’s part of a bigger vision to make Dubai a city where every child has the chance to live a healthy, full life.
For parents, initiatives like The Hope Run show that Dubai is not only building world-class healthcare systems but also creating a caring community where children’s health is everyone's priority.
