In separate instances that highlight the spirit of integrity and shared responsibility, Dubai Police has honoured two residents and a tourist for returning lost valuables, an act that reflects the UAE’s deep-rooted values of honesty and civic duty.
At Naif Police Station, Mohammad Azam and Saeed Ahmad were commended for handing over jewellery and cash they had found. Expert Brigadier Omar Ashour, Acting Director of the station, awarded both men with certificates of appreciation and praised their responsible behaviour, which aligns with the noble virtues cherished in the UAE community. Mohammad Azam and Saeed Ahmad, said they acted out of a sense of duty and hoped their actions would help return the items to their rightful owners.
Similarly, in another event, the Tourist Police Department recognised Marion Kaljon, a tourist from Estonia, for returning a piece of gold jewellery she discovered in a popular tourist area. She was honoured by Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, who praised her quick and responsible action.
Both stories underline Dubai Police’s commitment to fostering positive citizenship, where all members of society, residents and visitors alike, are encouraged to uphold moral values that strengthen trust, cooperation and safety.
