The UAE celebrates Emirati Children’s Day annually on 15 March, reaffirming its dedication to ensuring a safe, healthy and empowering environment for the next generation. This annual event celebrates the publication of the 'Wadimah' child rights document in 2016.
This year’s celebration holds special significance, as it aligns with 2025 being the UAE’s 'Year of Community', focusing on fostering responsibility, empathy and unity among children.
The country’s long-standing commitment to child welfare is evident in its strong legal framework, which ensures child protection, psychological well-being, and access to quality education.
The UAE's child protection laws hold individuals accountable in cases of neglect or misconduct, ensuring every child grows up in a safe and nurturing environment. A major milestone in child empowerment was the launch of the Emirati Children’s Parliament on 15 March, 2020. This platform fosters political awareness among young Emiratis, encouraging their engagement in national development and decision-making.

The most valuable investment we can make is raising conscious, creative, and responsible generations who take pride in their national identity and embody the values of loyalty and belonging. By empowering them today, we ensure they are ready to shape a brighter future for our nation”, Her Highness said.
Other leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also extended their wishes on Emirati Children's Day, highlighting how the youth is central to the nation's progress and achievements.
