UAE Weather Update: Cooler Temperatures And Rain Expected This Week

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted cloudy to partly cloudy conditions over the coming days, with light to moderate rainfall likely in coastal and northern areas. Temperatures are expected to gradually decrease, bringing cooler weather until the end of the week. Temperature in Dubai today is expected to be between 23ºC (lowest) and 33ºC (highest), while in some internal areas, the lowest temperature is expected to fall somewhere between 16ºC and 21ºC while the highest temperature can go up to 37ºC.

The forecast also indicates light to moderate winds, with dusty conditions at times today, along with chances of light rainfall. Some areas in the country have already experienced light showers, particularly in the Al Dhafra region.

Moderate to light rainfall is expected to persist until Thursday, followed by a gradual drop in temperatures on Thursday and Friday. 

Here is NCM's weather forecast for the week:

Tuesday and Wednesday: Partly cloudy and cloudy at times with a chance of light to moderate rainfall over some coastal and Western areas. Light to moderate Northeasterly winds, causing blowing dust during daytime. Lowest expected temperature across the UAE on Tuesday is 17ºC and highest is 36ºC. On Wednesday, lowest expected temperature is 18ºC and highest is 34ºC. 

Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of light rainfall during daytime over some areas, with gradual decrease in temperature. Dusty winds expected. Lowest expected temperature is 16ºC and highest is 33ºC.

Friday and Saturday: Fair to partly cloudy with another gradual decrease in temperature. More likelihood of rainfall on Friday. Humid by Friday night and Saturday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. On Friday, lowest expected temperature across the UAE is 14ºC and highest is 33ºC.
