Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Informa Group have announced a strategic partnership to establish 'Informa International', a global leader in exhibitions and event management, headquartered in Dubai and set to be fully operational by the end of this year.
DWTC has been a pioneer in UAE’s B2B event industry for over 40 years, owning and operating Dubai’s two major venues Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC). Informa Group, an international market leader, has led the global B2B events industry for over 25 years in the UAE.
The new, joint venture aims to solidify Dubai’s position as the world’s top MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) hub while significantly contributing to the city's economy. It aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to triple Dubai’s MICE sector GDP contribution to Dhs 54 billion annually by 2033.
Key Objectives Of The Partnership
- Creating a global MICE powerhouse: Informa International will combine DWTC’s global events portfolio with Informa Group's events businesses and partner markets in the UAE, to own and operate over 40 market-leading brands such as Gulfood, GITEX, GISEC, World Healthcare Exhibition, Middle East Energy and Dubai Airshow.
- Expanding across high-growth markets: The company will scale DWTC’s flagship events beyond Dubai into India, Asia Middle East, Europe and Africa, tapping into the fastest-growing markets for B2B events.
- Enhancing Dubai’s global business appeal: The venture will attract marquee events from the specialist Informa global brands across wide ranging sectors to Dubai, leveraging the city's expanding venue infrastructure, including the DEC opening in 2026.
With over USD 700 million in projected revenues and double-digit growth potential, Informa International is set to revolutionise Dubai’s MICE industry and expand its reach worldwide.
