Ramadan Initiative 'Bus Of Goodness' Distributes Iftar Meals To Workforce

In line with the Year of the Community and the spirit of generosity during Ramadan, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai has launched the 'Bus of Goodness' initiative, to distribute 150,000 Iftar meals to the workforce.

The initiative is carried out in partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and Dubai Charity Association, reinforcing the values of solidarity, compassion and social responsibility.

A Commitment To Giving

Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai, emphasised that the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to supporting Dubai’s labour community, stating "Ramadan is a time to embody giving and compassion. Through the ‘Bus of Goodness,’ we aim to reinforce social responsibility and provide vital support to workers who contribute to Dubai’s growth."

His Excellency Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouei, Director General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, highlighted the power of collaboration in strengthening community ties, especially during Ramadan.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Dubai Charity Association, added that the initiative aligns with their ‘Goodness Lasts’ campaign, celebrating the contributions of Dubai’s labour force.

This initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to inclusivity and care, ensuring that those who help build the city are honoured and supported during the holy month.
