The UAE is set to experience light rain today, particularly in northern and eastern regions, with dusty to partly cloudy skies expected in some areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Temperatures will remain cool, with Abu Dhabi expecting a high of 22°C and a low of 18°C, Dubai seeing 22°C during the day and 20°C at night, while Sharjah will record a high of 21°C and a low of 19°C. Today, parts of Abu Dhabi saw a lowest recorded temperature of 9.2°C in the morning.
The NCM has issued orange and yellow alerts for strong north-westerly winds, which could reach speeds of 60kph. The Arabian Gulf is expected to have very rough seas, with wave heights reaching up to 9 feet at times, while the Oman Sea will also see rough conditions.
These conditions are expected to persist until 6am on Thursday, with humidity increasing overnight into Thursday morning over some internal areas.
Residents and seafarers are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and exercise caution during outdoor activities and sea travel.
