The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai has launched Salama, an AI-powered platform aimed at transforming visa and residency services. The platform was introduced during the Fourth Annual Media Council, attended by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, alongside senior officials and media figures.
The platform simplifies residency processes by allowing users to:
- Renew or cancel residency permits
- Receive instant responses to visa enquiries
- Complete transactions without visiting service centres
This initiative supports UAE Vision 2071 and Dubai’s Digital Transformation Strategy, making government services faster and more accessible.
The Salama platform enables residents to renew their visas in three simple steps:
- Select the visa duration
- Make the payment
- Receive the renewed residence permit
With this streamlined process, visa renewals now take under 20 seconds, significantly reducing paperwork and processing times. While currently available for individuals, the service will soon be extended to companies as well.
