Dubai Airports Media Centre

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has issued a travel advisory ahead of one of its busiest travel periods, running from 20 to 28 February. The airport is set to handle over 2.5 million passengers during this time, with daily traffic averaging 280,000 and peaking at over 295,000 on Saturday, 22 February.

Passenger Advisory: Use Dubai Metro And Plan Ahead

  • Dubai Metro is the recommended mode of transport to and from the airport, as well as between Terminals 1 and 3.
  • Arrivals bus stop at Terminal 1 will be out of service from 21 February. Alternative transport options and updated bus schedules can be found on the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) website.
  • Passengers are advised to arrive early and check terminal information and flight status
  • Utilise online check-in for a smoother airport experience.
  • Keep monitoring DXB's official channels for regular updates.

The surge in passenger numbers is attributed to a combination of global events and school holidays across key markets, making this one of DXB’s busiest periods of the year.
