Cricket fever is set to take over Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and with thousands of fans expected, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a traffic advisory for commuters.
On 20 February, heavy traffic congestion is anticipated on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street due to the start of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Peak traffic hours will be: 11am to 2pm and 9pm to 11pm
RTA urges drivers to plan ahead, leave early, and consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
Cricket fans in the UAE can look forward to several highly anticipated matches at Dubai International Cricket Stadium:
- 20 February, 2.30pm – Bangladesh vs. India
- 23 February, 2.30pm– Pakistan vs. India
- 2 March, 2.30pm– New Zealand vs. India
- 4 March, 2.30pm– First Semi-Final Match
With massive crowds expected, spectators are advised to use public transport whenever possible to ensure a hassle-free experience.
