Expo City Dubai Foundation has launched the Changemakers Academy, a structured innovation and entrepreneurship incubator aimed at empowering young innovators to develop real-world solutions to social and environmental issues in the UAE.
The initiative aligns with the UAE Year of Community, fostering entrepreneurial talent by supporting final-year students and fresh graduates from UAE-based universities in turning their ideas into commercially viable businesses. Applications are open until end of March and final selection will take place in June.
Key Highlights Of The Programme
- Funding up to Dhs 50,000 for selected projects
- Mentorship and investor introductions
- Business setup support (licencing, visa and workspace at Expo City Dubai)
- AI-driven training in design thinking, digital skills and prototyping
Priority areas, chosen in consultation with Dubai’s Community Development Authority, includes opportunities to improve traffic congestion, mental wellbeing and work-life balance, as well as environmental responsibility and better inclusion for people of determination and the elderly.
