RTA Introduces QR Codes For Real-Time Bus Schedules In Dubai

WAM

With Dubai’s major events such as Gulfood 2025 drawing large crowds, staying on schedule is essential for commuters relying on public transport. To enhance travel efficiency, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced QR codes on bus stop signboards, allowing passengers to access real-time bus schedules via the S’hail app.

While bus stop displays provide schedules, actual arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions. Scanning the QR code gives commuters live updates, ensuring they reach their destination on time.

How To Use The QR Code For Bus Schedules

Download the S’hail app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery.
Scan the QR code at your bus stop.
Stay connected to mobile data or public Wi-Fi for accurate updates.

You can also use the S'hail app to plan your travel across the metro, tram, taxis and maritime transport. You can also recharge your Nol cards through the app. With the addition of QR codes to stay up to date with real-time bus schedules, RTA hopes to make commuting convenient and efficient for residents and visitors alike through the integration of smart solutions.
