In a major update to its visa policies, the United Arab Emirates has expanded its visa-on-arrival programme for Indian passport holders, now including those with valid visas, residence permits or Green Cards from six additional countries.
Starting 13 February, Indian citizens with valid visas or residence permits from the following nations can avail visa-on-arrival at all UAE entry points: Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
These are in addition to the previously eligible countries including the United States, United Kingdom and the European Union.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports, Security stated that this move aims to strengthen UAE-India relations, enhance tourism and attract skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and investors to the UAE.
To qualify, travellers must ensure that they have a passport valid for at least six months, along with payment of applicable visa fees.
