Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced on X its latest upgrade to Kite Beach Street in Jumeirah, aimed at easing congestion and enhancing traffic circulation in the area. The road has been expanded from one lane in each direction to two lanes in the same direction, effectively doubling its capacity and reducing travel time from 15 minutes to just 5 minutes.
The expansion was carried out to accommodate increasing traffic volumes, particularly due to parking and pedestrian activity around Kite Beach, one of Dubai’s most popular leisure destinations.
These improvements align with RTA’s strategic objectives to optimise road infrastructure, ensure smoother traffic movement and enhance accessibility in key areas of the city.
