Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has revealed new locations in Dubai where the drone delivery service will become active in the near future. Drone delivery services, including delivery of food and medicine, are expected to make the life of residents more convenient as well as reduce traffic congestion in many areas.
‘From Marina to Nad Al Sheba, drones are shaping the future of urban mobility in Dubai’, the official post by DCAA on X stated. DCAA has announced that the drone delivery services will be available in the future at these locations:
- Business Bay
- Nad El Sheba
- Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC)
- Aquaventure Waterpark
- Dubai Marina
- Dubai Internet City
- Al Barsha
- Emirates Hills
The drone delivery service had launched its first phase in December last year at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), with 6 drones (by Keeta Drone, a subsidiary of Chinese tech giant Meituan) operating across key locations in DSO for fast delivery of food, medicine and other essential items.
