RTA To Launch 4 New Metro Link Bus Routes

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is gearing up to enhance the city’s transportation network by introducing four new metro link bus routes along with upgrades to several existing routes, including one intercity route, starting 30 August 2024. These changes are designed to improve the daily commute for passengers, ensuring easier and more efficient travel across the Emirate.

The four new routes will include the replacement of route 31(Airport Terminal 2 to Oud Al Mateena) with two new routes, F39 and F40. Route F39 will run from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout bus stop one, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. Similarly, route F40 will operate from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, and back, with a 30-minute frequency.

In addition, two more routes will be introduced, F58 and F59. Route F58 will run from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back, with a 30-minute interval. Meanwhile, route F59 will operate from Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village and return, also with a 30-minute frequency.

From 30 August, route 21 will be divided into two new routes, 21A and 21B. Route 21A will go from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, while route 21B will run in the opposite direction. These updates aim to make routes easier to identify, increase service coverage, and enhance the overall travel experience. Passengers are encouraged to take note and plan their trips accordingly.

Besides this, route 6 will be shortened to run from Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City, as the section from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha will be discontinued. Route 95A will now start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, and extend to Parco Hypermarket, covering the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.

Route 99 will be updated to include JAFZA One, and Route F31 will have new stops in The Greens. Route F45 will also have additional stops in Al Furjan, while JAFZA One will be removed from Route F54.

Intercity Route E700 will now begin at Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station, heading to Fujairah.

RTA’s Public Transport Agency will also enhance 35 bus routes to ensure timely arrivals. All the route details can be found here
