Dubai International Airport (DXB) has announced that it is anticipating a surge of 3.43 million passengers between 21 August and 2 September as residents return from their summer vacations.

DXB expects an average daily traffic of 264,000 passengers, with over half a million travellers expected between 31 August and 1 September. The airport projects that 1 September will be the busiest day, with 291,000 passengers passing through.

DXB is witnessing this travel surge for the second consecutive time. In July 2024, the airport handled a surge of 3.3 million passengers arriving and departing through its terminals.
