As part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and the UAE's efforts to support the healthcare sector in the Gaza Strip, medical supplies and medicines have been provided to the UK field hospital and UK medical clinics in Gaza. This initiative comes in response to the severe shortage of medical supplies in the Strip and the local healthcare system's inability to meet the needs of a large number of Palestinians in need of medical care and treatment.
The UAE field hospital in Rafah has delivered approximately three tonnes of medication and medical supplies to the UK field hospital, which serves displaced individuals in the Al Mawasi safe zone.
These efforts are a continuation of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3's commitment to supporting hospitals in Gaza, which face significant challenges under current conditions. Since the operation began, over 400 tonnes of medical aid have been provided to assist the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip.
The UAE remains dedicated to offering medical support through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, ensuring that aid reaches those in urgent need of medical care. The UAE is also collaborating with global medical organisations like the World Health Organisation to enhance humanitarian efforts in Gaza, providing crucial treatment to the injured and easing their suffering.
Field hospitals, including the UK field hospital, are vital in addressing the urgent healthcare needs of Gaza’s population, where both local and international efforts are combined to ensure continued medical service amid the region’s challenging conditions.
What Is Operation Chivalrous Knight 3
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 aims to provide relief to everyone affected in the Gaza Strip, reflecting the UAE's commitment to humanitarian support for the Palestinian people. The operation has launched several initiatives to address the severe conditions and shortages in Gaza, helping alleviate the suffering of its residents.
Over 5.3 million people have benefited from basic food supplies distributed throughout the Strip, including camps and shelters for displaced families. Additionally, the team has provided bread to more than 1.2 million people, addressing the shortage caused by inadequate bakery supplies and high demand. This effort supports families facing financial hardship and helps meet critical needs in the region.
