Dubai Police's Air Wing Department Completes 304 Missions In First Half of 2024

The Dubai Police Air Wing has announced that it completed 304 missions in the first half of 2024. The unit undergoes ongoing training to ensure prompt and efficient service under any conditions and participates in specialised emergency courses for rapid missions at low altitudes and in congested areas.

The missions included transporting injured individuals, search and rescue operations, and various training exercises. The Air Wing also handled numerous police and security tasks to strengthen safety across Dubai.

Of the total missions, 140 were for patrol work, 64 for police tasks, and 66 for training. Additionally, 24 missions involved transporting the injured, five were search operations, and five were for patient transport.

Flight instructor Brigadier Ali Almheri, Director of the Dubai Police Air Wing Centre, highlighted the unit’s dedication to fulfilling Dubai Police’s objectives of quick response and efficient incident management, especially in traffic-related emergencies. These missions are crucial for the rapid transport of critically injured individuals to hospitals. Brigadier Ali Almheri also noted that the Air Wing frequently conducts humanitarian missions, including transferring patients from clinics to hospitals.
