Sikka Art And Design Festival

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is calling all artists and designers to participate in the 13th edition of the Sikka Art and Design Festival. Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Member of Dubai Council, the festival will take place from 31 January to 9 February 2025 at Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood.

The open call is for Emirati, UAE-based, and GCC artists, creatives, and designers, inviting submissions in visual arts, painting, sculpture, photography, design, murals, multimedia, culinary art, and more. The festival will also feature interactive workshops, musical and cinematic performances, talks, and panel discussions to enrich the local cultural landscape and reflect global art trends.

Applications will be accepted from 8 August to 8 October, after which a committee will review and select the works for the festival. Both established and emerging artists are encouraged to submit original, recent works that have not been displayed in other festivals. All details and the application form are available on the Dubai Culture's website.

The Sikka Art and Design Festival aims to celebrate a wide array of artistic expressions and showcase leading and emerging talent from the UAE and GCC. The previous edition drew over 162,000 visitors and featured a dynamic array of artworks and performances at Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood.
