GITEX Global 2024 To Return In October

GITEX Global 2024, the world's largest technology event, is set to return for its 44th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14 to 18 October. Last year's event was a major success, featuring 6,000 exhibitors and drawing 187,000 attendees from over 180 countries. This year promises even more excitement with a host of new features and high-profile participants.

A key highlight of GITEX Global 2024 is the introduction of GITEX Editions. This new segment is designed to support Dubai’s goal of becoming home to 30 unicorn start-ups by 2030. Currently, the speaker line-up at the event features eight fast-growing start-ups from around the world, with three of them supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC). These include:

Axelera Artificial Intelligence: Fabrizio del Maffeo, Co-Founder and CEO of Axelera Artificial Intelligence (AI), Netherlands, will discuss advancements in Generative AI infrastructure and edge computing. Axelera AI, valued at $500 million and backed by Samsung and the EIC, will make its debut in the Middle East at GITEX Global.

Insilico Medicine: Dr Alexander Zhavoronkov, Founder and CEO of Insilico Medicine, Hong Kong, will present on AI-driven drug discovery and synthetic biology. InSilico Medicine, known for the fastest-ever Initial public offering and valued at $1.5 billion, leads in biotech innovation.

Infinite Roots: Dr Mazen Rizk, Founder and CEO of Infinite Roots, Germany, will highlight next-generation sustainable alternative proteins from mycelium biotechnology. His company, backed by the EIC, is a major player in the EU's biotech sector.

Horizon Quantum Computing: Dr Joseph Fitzsimons, Founder and CEO of Horizon Quantum Computing, Singapore, will address developments in quantum computing. Horizon Quantum, supported by SG Innovate, Sequoia, and Tencent, is Singapore’s largest quantum startup.

Rebellions: Dr Sunghyun Park, Founder and CEO of Rebellions, South Korea will share insights on becoming Korea's first AI semiconductor chip unicorn, with a valuation of $1.5 billion.

Dronamics: Svilen Rangelov, Co-Founder and CEO of Dronamics, UK will showcase the world's first cargo drone airline, aiming to revolutionise e-commerce.

Bugatti Rimac: Emilio Scervo, Chief Technology Officer and Board Member at Bugatti Rimac, Croatia will present on their high-performance hypercars. Bugatti Rimac, valued at $5 billion, is Croatia's first and fastest-growing unicorn.

SiPearl: Philippe Notton, Founder and CEO of SiPearl, France will discuss advancements in high-performance semiconductors for AI and supercomputing.

Cybersecurity Conference Programme

Cybersecurity will also take centre stage at GITEX Global 2024 with a series of impactful presentations and debates. 

Pakistan Becomes Tech Destination Of The Year

This year, Pakistan has been named the ‘Tech Destination of the Year’. Represented by the Pakistan Software Export Board, Pakistan’s participation underscores its commitment to global tech collaboration and innovation. 

GITEX Global 2024 is set to be a landmark event, bringing together the brightest minds and the latest innovations to shape the future of technology.
