Dubai Harbour To Get An Upgrade With Dhs 431 Million Dubai Harbour Roads Project

RTA

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded Dhs 431 million to upgrade Dubai Harbour, partnering with 'Shamal Holding,' a prominent diversified investment firm overseeing various exceptional investments and assets. The project includes constructing two-lane bridges in both directions throughout 1,500 metres, connecting Sheikh Zayed Road directly to Dubai Harbour. This vibrant seafront destination boasts the region's largest marina and offers distinctive residential options.

The Dubai Harbour project aims to streamline access for residents and visitors with direct entry and exit points, enhancing traffic movement significantly. It involves constructing a two-lane bridge spanning 1,500 metres, capable of accommodating 6,000 vehicles per hour. The bridge starts from the 5th intersection on Sheikh Zayed Road, near the American University in Dubai, extending to Dubai Harbour Street. It spans intersections at Al Naseem Street with Al Falak Street and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street before reaching Dubai Harbour.

Additionally, the project includes surface enhancements at four key intersections: the 5th intersection on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Falak Street with Al Naseem Street, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street with Al Naseem Street, and Dubai Harbour Street. Once completed, these upgrades are expected to significantly improve traffic flow, reducing travel time from 12 minutes to just three minutes.

Dubai Harbour is renowned for its premier location nestled between Bluewaters Island and Palm Jumeirah. This seafront district offers an exceptional lifestyle with unparalleled views and convenient access. It encompasses a diverse array of retail, hospitality, and residential options, including the pioneering ‘Dubai Harbour Residences’. These residences will feature a variety of apartments and penthouses designed for luxurious living, boasting sweeping views of the sea and cityscape set against an iconic backdrop.

The area is also home to Skydive Dubai, featuring a 770-metre-long runway extending into the Arabian Gulf.
