If you travel around Al Mankhool quite often and are frustrated with the traffic, we have news for you. Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently finished enhancing traffic conditions on three key streets in Al Mankhool. The project focused on Kuwait Street, 12A Street, and 10C Street intersections, is a part of RTA's continuous efforts to modernise Dubai's road infrastructure.
Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, stated, "Al Mankhool area is notorious for its heavy traffic. RTA has made several enhancements to improve the conditions at Al Mankhool."
Here Are The Key Enhancements On Al Mankhool Streets
- The project involves reducing the number of right-in and right-out lanes from two to one at the intersection of Kuwait Street and 10C Street.
- A U-turn movement on 10C Street will be added to enhance traffic safety and reduce accidents.
- The U-turn on Kuwait Street will be relocated to extend the storage lane, aiming to improve traffic flow and decrease delays by 30% at the Kuwait Street and 12A Street junction. Eliminating the overlapping traffic movement from 10C Street to 12A Street will enhance safety on Kuwait Street.
- These enhancements aim to facilitate smoother traffic flow and easier movement in Al Mankhool and surrounding areas, benefiting around 130,000 residents and commuters, as Al Mankhool is a crucial commercial hub, hosting various service companies, hotels, hospitals, and retail outlets.
