His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has established the Dubai Council to drive the emirate's future advancement.
The council's objective is to develop Dubai's development agenda to strengthen its global competitiveness and maintain its leadership and appeal. This will be achieved through the implementation of significant projects and transformative initiatives. Ultimately, the council aims to ensure the highest quality of life for citizens, residents, and visitors alike.
As per the decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, will serve as the First Vice Chairman of the council and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of the UAE and Deputy Ruler of Dubai will serve as the Second Vice Chairman of the council.
Members of the Council include His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, and President of the Gulf Youth Games; His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airlines and Group and Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
