His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has reaffirmed that safeguarding the well-being of citizens and residents remains the top priority of the UAE government.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed has instructed relevant authorities to promptly assess infrastructure conditions nationwide and limit the damage caused after the country witnessed its heaviest rainfall on record.
Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed has instructed to extend necessary assistance to all families affected by the extreme weather, directing the relocation of impacted families to safe locations in cooperation with local authorities.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude to members of the national and local emergency and crisis teams and varied authorities for effectively coordinating rescue and evacuation efforts amid unprecedented conditions, which significantly contributed to saving lives and property. Furthermore, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also commended the UAE community for demonstrating remarkable solidarity during the weather crisis, noting it to be a true essence of the UAE identity.
Besides this, The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the National Centre of Meteorology, and strategic partners, has also announced the end of the storm in the UAE.
