After intense weather conditions across the country and to ensure public safety, the Dubai government has extended remote working for public sector employees for a further two days on Thursday, 18 April, and Friday, 19 April. The update was announced by the Dubai Media Office via X, formerly known as Twitter.
The decision to extend the remote working period was made to facilitate the work of field teams in response to the severe weather conditions on Tuesday 16 April. Dubai's authorities have ramped up their efforts to address the aftermath of the heavy rainfall and mitigate its impact.
Besides this, The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has also urged private sector companies to apply flexible work patterns in light of the weather fluctuations the UAE has witnessed.
