UAE Weather: Emirates Suspends Check-In For Passengers At DXB Airport, RTA Announces Maintenance Work For Metro Lines

Following the UAE's record-breaking rainfall over the past 24 hours, Emirates Airlines, Dubai's Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA), and Dubai International Airport (DXB) have announced significant passenger updates.

Emirates Airlines has suspended passenger check-in at Dubai International Airport (DXB) from 8am until midnight on Wednesday, 17 April, due to operational difficulties arising from adverse weather and road conditions.

According to Emirates, "Passengers arriving in Dubai and already in transit will continue to be processed for their flights. Customers can expect delays to departures and arrivals and are advised to check the latest flight schedules on the Emirates website."

DXB Urges You To Not Visit The Airport

DXB advises passengers to avoid going to the airport unless necessary. The weather has caused considerable disruption, including flooding and road closures, limiting transportation options for passengers trying to reach the airport.
