Dubai Metro Announces Extended Operating Hours For 16 April

RTA

Dubai is facing harsh weather conditions with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall sweeping across the country. School pupils are studying remotely from home, and government officials are also working remotely. However, for the private sector, lots of people are still commuting for work. And the safest option for commuting today appears to be the Dubai Metro, as rainy roads pose risks with reduced visibility and water accumulation. Hence, to facilitate easier travel, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has extended Dubai Metro operational hours until 3am, for today, 16 April. RTA shared this announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

If you're commuting for work or heading to the airport, consider using Dubai Metro for hassle-free travel. For 16 April, the metro will operate until 3am (next day), aiming to facilitate trips during rainy conditions.

What Are The Regular Operational Hours For Dubai Metro

Dubai Metro functions daily; from Monday to Thursday, you can board the metro from 5am to midnight; on Fridays, the metro operates from 5am to 1am (next day); on Saturdays, the timings are 5am to midnight, and on Sunday, the timings are 8am to midnight. The timings also change due to festivals and other activities in Dubai.

How To Reach Dubai International Airport Using Dubai Metro
