Free Parking Announced In Dubai And Abu Dhabi For Eid Al Fitr

Abu Dhabi and Dubai have announced free parking and public transport schedules for the festive week of Eid Al Fitr. These services and timings will be in effect during the holidays. 

Public Parking, Bus Timings And More In Abu Dhabi 

During Eid Al Fitr, Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has announced free Mawaqif parking from 8 to 14 April, with regular charges resuming on Monday, 15 April. Additionally, Darb toll charges will be suspended during this period, and the regular toll charges will resume on Monday, 15 April. 

For public transport, buses will operate on their usual schedule with increased services. The operating hours are 6am to 11pm. Ferries will also continue their standard schedules.

Parking And Public Transport Timings In Dubai 

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the business hours of all services during the holiday of Eid Al Fitr covering customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai metro and tram and more. 

Customer Happiness Centres

All customer happiness centres will be closed during the holidays. The smart customer centres of Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf centres and RTA Head Office will remain operational as usual 24/7.

Dubai Metro And Tram 

From Monday, 8 April to Saturday, 13 April, the Dubai metro will be operational from 5am to 1am (the next day) and on Sunday, 14 April, the metro will run from 8am to midnight. Dubai tram will run from 6am to 1am(next day) until Saturday, 13 April and 9am to 1am (next day) on Sunday, 14 April. 

Dubai Bus 

Adjustments will be made to the operating hours of Dubai buses and intercity buses during the Eid Al Fitr Al holiday. RTA has advised commuters to know about the changes during the via the S’hail App.

Public Parking

All public parking (except multi-level parking terminals) will be free from the 29th of Ramadan until the 3rd of Shawwal. Parking tariffs will resume on the 4th of Shawwal. It means that from Monday, 8 April, until Shawwal 3 (date yet to be confirmed), you can park in public spots without any charges. The Eid Al Fitr dates will be confirmed when the moon-sighting committee meets on Monday, 8 April evening.
