To commemorate the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has issued an order granting golden visas to imams, preachers, muezzins, muftis, and religious scholars who have dedicated over 20 years of service in the emirate.
Imams serve as spiritual leaders, guiding followers to live by Islamic principles. Muezzins announce the call to prayer, while muftis are Islamic scholars authorised to provide rulings on religious and personal issues.
Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan also ordered to offer imams, preachers, muezzins, muftis, and religious scholars financial rewards during Eid Al Fitr. This decision reflects gratitude for their dedication to disseminating the teachings of Islam, fostering its true essence, and advocating for tolerance.
Earlier in March, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan had ordered a raise in the salaries of imams and muezzins in Dubai. This salary increase will be implemented for those working in mosques under the purview of Dubai's Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department.
