For those who work remotely and seek opportunities to network, socialise, and collaborate in different environments, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has an exciting initiative in store. RTA is collaborating with The Co-Spaces, a leading business incubator certified by the Dubai SME and provider of innovative co-working solutions called WO-RK. Scheduled to launch in quarter 2 of 2024 on a trial basis, this co-working space will be conveniently located within Burjuman Metro Station, providing accessible, affordable, and inspiring workspace solutions.
Located within the Dubai Metro network, WO-RK will offer easy accessibility via public transport, reducing the need for car commuting and supporting last-mile transport solutions. This initiative not only eases traffic congestion and reduces carbon emissions but also promotes a sustainable urban environment, aligning with progressive workspace ideals.
WO-RK adopts hybrid workspaces, catering to evolving needs beyond traditional office setups. It prioritises community engagement, enabling connections through shared spaces, meals, meetings, and networking events. Through various activities and workshops, WO-RK aims to build a diverse and inclusive community among its members.
Commenting on this, Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of Commercial and Investment, RTA, said, "RTA is proud to see one of its concepts has turned into a reality with the provision of coworking spaces within Burjuman Metro Station. Through this initiative, RTA seeks to achieve its strategic goals aligned with Dubai Urban Plan 2040 aiming to make Dubai the world’s best city for living. This includes improving accessibility and fostering better integration. Co-working spaces offer innovative solutions and flexibility, in an ultra-modern conducive work and adaptable environment that actively supports a healthy work/life balance for all its members."
Expansion of Other Co-working Spaces
