Attention, students of schools and universities in Dubai! Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is gearing up to introduce a new nol card exclusively for students in a collaboration between the RTA and the International Student Identity Card Association. This initiative aims to enhance students' daily commuting experiences on RTA's public transport network, covering metro, tram, buses, and marine transport.
Benefits Of Student Nol Card
The Student nol Card promises to simplify commuting for school and university students. It integrates various features and benefits, including the existing discounts of up to 50% on RTA's public transport fares. Moreover, now, students can avail of discounts of up to 70% and special promotions at numerous retail outlets across Dubai and nationwide. The card extends its utility beyond transportation, facilitating payments at retail stores, school canteens, and university cafeterias.
Students Can Use The Card Internationally
The nol card also doubles as an international student identification card. Students, aged five to 23 enroled in recognised institutions will receive their international student ID cards, valid for use abroad. Interested students can conveniently apply for the card through the nol Pay app, with seamless delivery to their provided address.
Parents Can Monitor Spend Limits On The Card
Parents of students also benefit from this initiative, gaining access to account management features. They can top up card balances and monitor daily spending limits for their children, ensuring responsible usage. This initiative signifies a significant stride towards offering a comprehensive card with a myriad of benefits.
The announcement of this initiative took place during the MENA Transport Conference and Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 28 February to 1 March.
