The Holy Month of Ramadan is about spreading kindness and doing charity, and for the Holy Month, Dubai Cares, a civil society organisation formally associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, has launched 'Gaza In Our Hearts', a Ramadan fundraising campaign.
The campaign aims at mobilising the UAE community to support emergency relief efforts for Gaza. Recognising the urgent need for necessities in Gaza and the compassion within the UAE community, the campaign seeks to provide vital funds for the people of Gaza.
The campaign aims to raise funds for immediate support, directing all donations to provide hot meals, food baskets, and waterproof and fire-resistant tents. To ensure swift delivery of this emergency relief, Dubai Cares has partnered with Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid), its longstanding partner. Anera will collaborate with United Nations, diplomatic, and NGO partners to establish aid channels for urgent delivery of life-saving assistance.
Speaking about the significance of the campaign, Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares, said, "Through the ‘Gaza In Our Hearts’ campaign, we are providing members of the community the opportunity to unite and respond to this urgent need with a sense of responsibility and empowerment. We hope that through this campaign and our strategic partnership with Anera, we will not only alleviate hunger and suffering, but also nurture hope, resilience, and dignity.”
