His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, along with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; and His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Managing Director, Investment Corporation of Dubai, visited OneOnly One Za’abeel, Dubai's first vertical urban resort.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the key role of the tourism sector in Dubai’s economic expansion. He noted the significant growth of the sector in recent years, driven by an increasing number of visitors. Strong partnerships between public and private sectors have been key to Dubai’s success in delivering exceptional tourism services and facilities, he said.
At OneOnly One Za’abeel, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was briefed about the resort and everything it has to offer.
The OneOnly One Za’abeel resort offers 229 lavish rooms and suites distributed across 15 floors, diverse services and an array of exceptional dining options crafted by a distinguished team of world-class chefs. The resort offers sports facilities and an infinity pool, the longest in Dubai, stretching 120 metres and soaring 100 metres above ground level.
In early January, the urban resort opened, coinciding with substantial growth in the emirate's tourism industry. Visitors now have an array of options to choose from, as indicated by recent data from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism. As of November 2023, the city boasts 149,680 hotel rooms across 820 establishments, a notable increase from the 145,000 rooms in 794 establishments reported in November 2022.
