Dubai is home to tons of famous streets and districts, and one of them undoubtedly is the opulent Sheikh Zayed Road; however, that is about to change now. While the road remains the same, the name of the district is now different. Yep, you read that right! Sheikh Zayed Road, home to residential buildings, offices, hotels, apartments and more is now renamed after the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa. This is the most noteworthy name change among the 28 listed changes by the Dubai Land Department.
Besides this, other districts that have been renamed are: Motor City, is renamed to Al Hebiah First, Ranches, renamed Wadi Al Asafa 6, Sports City becomes Al Hebiah Fourth, and Al Quoz 2 is now called Ghadeer Al Tair.
