Dubai has done it again! Known for offering the best of beaches, resorts, luxury, elevated dining experiences and attractions, Dubai has bagged the top spot as the No.1 global destination in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2024 awards for the third successive year, making it the first city to achieve this incredible milestone consecutively for three years.
Dubai secured its leading global position in the 2024 Travellers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Destinations, according to the announcement from Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel guidance platform.
These honours for Dubai carry significance as they rely on the feedback from millions of worldwide travellers in the Tripadvisor community. The awards evaluate the reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants, and experiences in each destination, considering both quality and quantity, spanning a 12-month period from 1 October, 2022 to 30 September 30 2023.
Commenting on the occasion, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, said, "Dubai has earned the prestigious title of the No.1 global destination in the 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for the third consecutive time, establishing the emirate as the first city worldwide to achieve such recognition. This accomplishment underscores our success and reflects the outcomes of our developmental efforts in this crucial economic sector."

The recent Tripadvisor award is just one in a series of global accolades received by Dubai, affirming the city's diverse and widespread appeal. According to the most recent information from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai experienced a 20% rise in international overnight visitors, welcoming 15.37 million between January and November 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
