Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free public parking on Monday, 1 January, 2024, for the New Year's holiday. This offer is applicable in all areas except for multi-level parking terminals. Parking will be free on the public holiday, followed by a Sunday when parking is typically free in Dubai. The regular parking tariff will resume on Tuesday, 2 January, 2024.
RTA has announced the operating hours for all services during the 2024 New Year's Eve and the subsequent public holiday on Monday. Service Provider Centres will be closed on Monday and resume normal business hours on Tuesday.
On Monday, all RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed, except for the Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA's Head Office, which will continue to operate 24/7 as usual.
Dubai Metro And Dubai Tram Timings
- Dubai Metro will be operational from 8am on 31 December, to midnight on 1 January 2024.
- Dubai Tram will be operational from 9am on 31 December, to 1am on 2 January.
The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station will close at 5pm on New Year's Eve or earlier if capacity is reached.
However, the rest of the metro's Green and Red Line network will provide continuous service for 40 hours, starting at 8am on Sunday 31 December, ensuring convenient transportation options for commuters during one of the busiest times of the year.
