Dubai Announces New Year's Eve Road Closures

Get ready to ring in the New Year with a bang in Dubai! To ensure a safe celebration, Dubai Police has unveiled its New Year's Eve safety plan. Dubai Police has announced road closures for New Year's Eve festivities and main routes. Key areas like Downtown Dubai, including Al Asayel Street, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, and Burj Khalifa Street, will be closed from 4pm on Sunday. These measures are in place to manage the expected crowds gathering to witness the annual Burj Khalifa fireworks display. 

Here's A Complete List Of Road Closures

- Al Asayel Street will be closed at 4pm
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard closure will close from 4pm
- Burj Khalifa Street will close from 4pm
- Financial Centre Street lower deck will close from 4pm
- Al Mustaqbal Street will close from 4pm
- Al Sukook Street will close from 8pm
- Financial Centre Street upper deck will close from 9pm

Dubai Police Announces Additional Safety Measures 

Besides road closures, Dubai Police is prioritising public safety for New Year's Eve, deploying 10,000 officers across 32 firework display sites in Dubai. The heightened security measures aim to ensure a safe celebration at popular locations like Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Hatta. Residents and visitors can enjoy festivities with confidence, knowing that extensive security arrangements are in place.

To keep everyone safe during New Year's Eve celebrations, around 950 Civil Defence officers and 178 ambulances will be ready.

Dubai Police is also placing tents in various areas like Jumeirah, Al Mamzar, Al Seef Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Kite Beach, JBR, Ain Dubai, and The Point in Palm Jumeirah. These tents will handle lost and found reports and accommodate civil defence, ambulance, and police staff, along with ushers to assist and guide the crowds.

To enhance the visitor experience, Dubai Police have arranged temporary toilets and food trucks for the public across Dubai. 

Additionally, large screens will be set up in various locations, such as Jebel Ali, Al Quoz, Al Qusais, Hor Al Anz, Al Satwa, and Al Bidaa, allowing labourers to enjoy the fireworks displays.
