Sharjah Bans New Year’s Eve Firework Shows In Support Of Gaza

While New Year's Eve firework shows are typically a visual delight in the UAE, this year, Sharjah will be banning the firework displays. The Sharjah Police announced via social media, citing the decision as a gesture of solidarity with the people of Gaza.

The authority has urged all institutions and individuals to cooperate with this decision, emphasising that legal action will be taken against those who violate the instructions. Recently, it was confirmed that Al Majaz Waterfront would not host its annual New Year's Eve display out of respect for the lives lost in Gaza.

In light of the ongoing conflict, several live events and concerts in the Emirates have been either cancelled or postponed in the initial weeks of the war.
