Exciting news for sports enthusiasts in Sharjah! The Emirate is gearing up to host the region's first-ever Footgolf tournament, a unique sport that blends football and golf. From 12 to 14 January 2024, the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club will be the venue for the 'Sharjah International Footgolf Tournament'.
This tournament isn't just local, it's attracting top players globally. More than 140 participants from over 20 countries will come to Sharjah to take part in this tournament. Organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority in collaboration with the Sharjah Sports Council and Professional Footgolf Tour, the tournament will feature both men and women competing for cash prizes in an 18-hole, stroke-play format.
Over two days, players will compete for a total prize pool exceeding $40,000. Even amateur Footgolf enthusiasts in the UAE can join the fun, with a separate prize fund of $1,500 up for grabs.
Registration is open for UAE citizens and residents, with a fee of Dhs 370 per player. So hurry, register now!
