Dubai Ranks Second In World Top 100 City Destinations

Guess what? Dubai has done it again! It's been named one of the world's top city destinations in 2023, grabbing the second spot in a global ranking by Euromonitor, the world's leading provider of global business intelligence, market analysis and consumer insights. Paris bagged the first spot, but Dubai is shining bright.

The ranking, called Euromonitor International’s Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023, looks at cities worldwide and reviews how well they're doing in things like business, tourism, and being eco-friendly. This report explores areas of innovation embraced by cities as they fight geopolitical tensions and rising costs of living. And Dubai aced it in these areas, earning a high place.

Paris was the only city to beat Dubai, and guess what? Dubai is the only city from the Middle East in the top 20! Other places like London, Rome, Madrid, and Amsterdam made the top ten, and two cities in the USA made it to the top 20, New York and Los Angeles. 

This ranking tells us that Dubai is not just a cool place to visit; it's also doing well in areas like business, tourism, and being a sustainable city. On that note, here are the top 20 cities that made it to the list.

1. France's capital, Paris, took the lead.
2. Dubai in the UAE secured the second spot.
3. Spain's capital, Madrid, clinched the third position.
4. Tokyo in Japan claimed the fourth spot.
5. The Netherlands' city, Amsterdam, held the fifth position.
6. Germany's capital, Berlin, secured the sixth spot.
7. Italy's capital, Rome, grabbed the seventh position.
8. The United States' city, New York, landed at number eight.
9. Spain's Barcelona claimed the ninth spot.
10. London in the United Kingdom rounded off the top ten.
11. Singapore secured the eleventh position.
12. Munich in Germany held the twelfth spot.
13. Milan in Italy clinched the thirteenth position.
14. South Korea's capital, Seoul, claimed the fourteenth spot.
15. Dublin in Ireland held the fifteenth position.
16. Osaka in Japan secured the sixteenth spot.
17. Hong Kong took the seventeenth position.
18. Vienna in Austria claimed the eighteenth spot.
19. Los Angeles in the United States secured the nineteenth position.
