UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Shares A Welcome Message For COP28

Commencing today, Dubai is hosting the COP28 summit until 12 December. Anticipating over 70,000 participants, the event at Expo City, Dubai will bring together heads of state, government officials, industry leaders, private sector representatives, academics, experts, youth, and non-state actors. Ahead of the summit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, urged collective action to address the challenges confronting our planet.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared a welcome message for COP28 on X, formerly known as Twitter. 

On his account on X, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed wrote: “We are honoured to welcome the international community to the UAE for the start of COP28. Solving the challenges facing our planet requires a shared vision and collective action, and we are determined to unite the world around climate action and ensure no one is left behind.”

COP28 summit is taking place in UAE from 30 November to 12 December 2023, and it aims to address the climate crisis and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
