Dubai experienced an impressive show of community unity as His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, led over 226,000 participants in the fifth edition of Dubai Run, sponsored by Mai Dubai. This event marked the completion of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2023 and solidified its status as the globe's biggest community fun run.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, alongside UAE astronauts Dr. Sultan Alneyadi and Hazzaa Almansoori, participated in the 10km route, demonstrating their collective enthusiasm for fitness within the broader community. Accompanying them in the run were Dr. Al Neyadi's colleagues from Expedition 69, marking his historic mission on the International Space Station. This group included American astronauts Stephen Bowen, Warren Hoburg, and Francisco Rubio, along with Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopev, Dimitrii Petelin, and Andrei Fediaev.
Dubai Run transformed the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road into a massive running track, providing a unique opportunity to explore Dubai in an unprecedented way. With two distinct routes catering to runners of all levels, the event aimed to ensure an unforgettable experience for every participant.

The first route was an invigorating 10km run along Sheikh Zayed Road, offering participants the chance to test their limits amid the backdrop of some of the city's most iconic landmarks. The second route, a 5km run through Downtown Dubai, provided a delightful opportunity for families and friends to come together.
