The Dubai Ride is back on 12 November as a part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, offering a family-friendly experience accessible to all ages. For those eager to join the ride but don't have a bicycle, here's some great news for you. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Careem Bike have teamed up to provide free bicycles to people who want to join the Dubai Ride but don't have their own.
To grab a complimentary bike ride for the Dubai Ride event, you can download the Careem app, select the 'Bike' icon, and sign up for the 'Dubai Ride Pass' priced at Dhs 0 on 12 November between 2am to 7.30am.
Participants can collect their free bikes from Careem’s bike docking stations at Entrance A of the Museum of the Future, Trade Centre Street, and Entrance E of Lower FCS, Financial Centre Road, next to Roda Al Murooj Building A on a first-come, first-served basis.
All participants must bring their own helmets for bike usage, and registration on the Dubai Ride website is mandatory. Additionally, providing card details is necessary for security purposes, although there won't be any charges for bike borrowing.
Besides this, riders have the option to sign up and rent a Careem Bike from any of the 192 stations spread across Dubai. During the event, any extra fees for rides surpassing 45 minutes will be waived. This initiative further solidifies the RTA's collaboration with Careem, ensuring easy access to the Dubai Ride for individuals without their own bicycles.
At Dubai Ride, you have the choice between the family-friendly 4km route circling Downtown Dubai or choose the 12km challenge along Sheikh Zayed Road, which includes passing iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa.
