Dubai Fitness Challenge Calendar With Sporting Events, Fitness Villages And More Unveiled

Residents and visitors in Dubai, it's time to gear up and prepare to get active as the seventh edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is scheduled to return from 28 October to 26 November 2023. With a thrilling month of free fitness events, villages, community centres, classes, and activities starting this weekend, the city will turn into a lively hub of sports and physical activity.

DFC, a flagship fitness initiative by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince if Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, is a primary fitness program. Its objective is to encourage people of all ages and fitness levels to engage in 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 days. This effort aligns with Dubai's ambition to become the most active city globally.

The DFC fitness calendar is unveiled, showcasing a diverse range of events and activities. These three 30-day free fitness villages at Kite Beach, Mushrif Park, and One Central will become lively hubs of sports, classes, and events, promoting active participation and a strong sense of community.

DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village in Jumeirah 3 will open on weekdays from 8am to 1pm for schools, transforming into a fitness haven for the public from 3pm to 10pm. On weekends, it will welcome early birds at 7am, keeping the energy going until 10pm.

Experience the excitement at the Go Well Main Stage, try out the MIRA Lift, Ride, Row area, or check out the new Mubadala Health Gym. Martial arts enthusiasts can enjoy the thrill of martial arts, while there's a dedicated Sun and Sand Sports (SSS) Boxing Ring. Whether you prefer yoga at the Lipton Yoga and Wellness zone or a game of padel at the Emarat Padel Courts, Kite Beach offers a wide range of fun and active options for everyone.

At the RTA Mushrif Park Cycle Centre, immerse yourself in the excitement of cycling with a world of biking adventures. From Monday to Friday, you can start your day with sessions from 7am to 8am and enjoy the cool evening breeze from 4pm to 8.30pm. On weekends, the cycling fun continues in the morning from 7am to 10am, with an extended evening ride from 4pm to 10pm. These sessions are designed to accommodate both beginners and intermediate cyclists, making it a great activity for everyone, including children and families. 

Besides this, One Central located along Sheikh Zayed Road as part of the Dubai World Trade Centre is the ultimate destination for those seeking an immersive experience in the worlds of running and cycling will be open daily from 7am to 10pm. Throughout the month, this fitness village will host over 400 hours of activities. It will also serve as the central point for participants to collect their bibs for the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run events.

Besides this, One Central, the prime spot for those looking to engage in the realms of running and cycling, will be accessible every day from 7am to 10pm. Throughout the month, this fitness hub will organise more than 400 hours of activities and will serve as the central location for participants to pick up their race numbers for the Dubai Ride and Dubai Run events.

On 26 November, the Dubai Run will dominate the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road.

For adventure enthusiasts, get ready for an exceptional day of adventure at the brand-new Dubai Stand-Up Paddle event in Hatta, presented by the RTA, on Saturday, 18 November, from 2pm to 6pm. 

DFC has introduced exciting new events to its lineup, including the Dubai South Ride and Run events, scheduled for Sunday, 5 November, offering an invigorating fitness experience. In addition to these, there are various events throughout the month, such as the Dubai Padel Cup, which offers a range of unique experiences, including free clinics for the public, a junior program, community tournaments, padel business discussions, and a government padel tournament.

Additionally, fitness enthusiasts can partake in Dubai Women’s Run offering 3km, 5km, and 10km routes on 5 November or try the pulse-racing triathlon at the iconic AURA Skypool on 18 November. 

For a one-of-a-kind wellness journey, people can head to the iconic Museum of the Future (MOTF) from 3 to 5 November to indulge in a bucket list of activities against the breathtaking MOTF backdrop.
