Dubai dunes are set to resound with the boom of engines once more as the oldest motorsport event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the iconic Dubai International Baja, is making a thrilling return from 10 to 12 November, once again filling the desert dunes of Dubai with the roar of engines.
This high-energy event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. It is organised by the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO) along with the unwavering support of the Dubai Government, as well as key partners like Dubai Festival City, Toyota Al Futtaim, and ENOC.
With the recent cancellation of the Jordan Baja, as declared by the Organisers and the Federation International de Motocyclism (FIM) due to the uncertain geopolitical conditions, the Dubai International Baja is set to reclaim its position as the season's concluding event. This promises to be an event filled with exhilarating competitions in various categories across both World Cups.
Initially scheduled to be the second-to-last event of the season, the Dubai International Baja is listed on the calendar for both the 2023 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas and the 2022 FIM Bajas World Cup.
With several categories witnessing close competition in terms of points and one less event on the calendar, expectations are soaring high. The competition in Dubai is anticipated to deliver an exhilarating race for supremacy, as both World Cups approach their thrilling conclusions.
The event kicks off in Festival City in Dubai on Friday, 10 November, with the Official Pre-Event Press Conference plus documentation and technical formalities from 8am to 4pm.
