UAE residents woke up to thunder and heavy rains this Friday morning. In response, Dubai allowed government employees to work from home, and both Abu Dhabi police and Dubai's RTA urged drivers to be careful because of the unpredictable weather and changing speed limits on electronic signs. After a night of rain, lightning, and thunder, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts cooler temperatures, more rain, and cloudy skies in the UAE today.
In fact, a video posted by the Storm Centre shows lightning flashing between the clouds during the early hours of Friday morning.
The NCM has issued orange and yellow alerts for many areas, cautioning residents about unsafe weather conditions for outdoor activities. Regarding the weather, it will be humid at night and on Saturday morning in coastal and inland areas, with a chance of mist forming. On Sunday, 29 October, expect afternoon clouds, with temperatures reaching a high of 33s°C and a low of 27s°C.
Rainfalls today are in line with a chance of some clouds forming in the east and south, spreading to specific coastal and inland regions. Today, there will be light to moderate winds, occasionally becoming fresh to strong, leading to dusty conditions. The lowest temperature will drop to 19°C, while the highest could reach 37°C.
